About Dr. Jac

I began my healing arts education old-fashioned way, by observing and studying one-on-one with a master: my Dad. He was a chiropractor and pioneer in the world of holistic healing who also had relationships with many of the greatest healing arts practitioners of our time. I had the pleasure of getting to know many of them, and studied their approaches one-on-one with more than a few.

While I always wanted to help heal the world, I always thought the various doctoral and non-doctoral health professions were limited in many ways. Yet, with the assistance of one of my physician mentors, I decided to take all I learned in my “informal” education, and brought it with me to chiropractic college, because it was based in a natural approach, and the closest thing to what I wanted to offer.

Having had incredible role models, I knew what a master should look like. So I was inspired to work toward becoming one by studying with them, along with the thousands of hours of diplomate-level courses and materials in the fields of acupuncture, functional neurology, functional medicine, applied kinesiology, bioenergetic energy healing, homeopathy, and just about anything else I could get my hands on.

Despite all that I had learned over the years, even early in my practice, I still felt under-equipped to handle the complex cases that started showing up. And show up they did.

What I discovered was that in order to handle cases of extraordinary complexity, I needed a process which had a definite structure but allowed space to account for innumerable and unpredictable variables. From that need, I discovered many astonishing things, and developed many unique strategies, tools, and techniques to solve the problems in front of me. The system that came out of this is what I now call the Critical Point Method.

Getting Formal

As for my relevant formal education, I graduated with Honors from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and am a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and a Fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America, and hold a board certification in chiropractic acupuncture.

I have completed all coursework for diploma programs in chiropractic neurology with the Carrick Institute, Applied Kinesiology with the International College of Applied Kinesiology, and I've invested countless hours in clinical nutrition and functional medicine courses, and have done even more research out of the classroom in these and other related subjects.

I truly look forward to helping you to achieve your health and wellness goals!
